iSimple today expanded its line of best-selling TranzIt™ in-car FM modulator kits with the introduction of the TranzIt BLU (ISFM21), the first kit to combine FM transmitting, Bluetooth® and a free downloadable App to offer high-quality, wireless audio streaming in virtually any vehicle and any Android® smartphone or tablet.
According to recent market analysis, 1 in 3 consumers over the age of 17 now owns a smartphone. Of those smartphones, more than 40% run on the Google Android operating system. The iSimple TranzIt BLU (MSRP $119.95) was created specifically for this market; allowing owners of Android smartphones and tablets to wirelessly play music from their device through their car’s factory or aftermarket stereo. Because there are no wires, there is nothing to clutter up the dash or center console. And, because it is an installed, direct-connect kit that supports A2DP Bluetooth streaming, the quality of audio playback is excellent.
Operating the TranzIt BLU is straightforward: the consumer simply activates Bluetooth on his/her Android device, selects an empty channel on the radio, uses the iSimple TranzIt BLU Android App (available as a free download from the Android Market) to tune the TranzIt to the channel selected, and presses play on the device’s media player or an Internet radio station of choice.
According to iSimple Senior Product Manager, Scott Rothstein, “I’m excited to offer the large and still growing Android community an innovative product that allows them to play their favorite music while on the go. Not only will Android users love how easy the TranzIt BLU is to use and how great it sounds, but they’ll appreciate not having to deal with a bunch of wires or adapters.”
Like its predecessors – the TranzIt (IS77) and TranzIt USB (IS31) – the ISFM21 kit consists of a signal interrupt FM modulator that is installed in-line with the vehicle’s antenna. However, the TranzIt BLU pairs this modulator with a powerful Bluetooth unit to establish a stable, wireless connection and premium sound quality. Also, the TransIt BLU kit eliminates the “turn-on” button of its cousins with the introduction of a signal-sensing bypass that activates when audio playback is detected.
iSimple will be displaying the TranzIt BLU, along with several other new products, at its booth in the iLounge at the 2011 CES Show (iLounge, Booth 3714), as well as at the booth of its parent company, AAMP of America (North Hall, Booth 809).
