SoundFX and Bryan Layton recently installed a NAV upgrade in their customer’s F250 Crew Cab. When the Kicker HS8 hit the company’s inventory, Layton followed up and got an additional sale and also solidified his relationship with a happy customer.
“Kicker’s new compact Hideaway powered sub absolutely rocks – plenty of bottom end. It exceeded all expectations. From Guns ‘n Roses to Warren G to Air Supply, it handled it all” Bryan Layton, SoundFX, relayed to 12voltnews.com. “We installed the HS8 in a 2011 Ford crew cab F250. The 60/40 split under the back seat was a perfect spot. Our customer runs a landscape business plus uses the vehicle for family. The HS8 didn’t take up an usable interior room. This unit is bad ass and we will definitely feature it in our 2012 Kicker product lineup. The HS8 is the best powered hideaway sub woofer on the market, period! Kudos to KICKER.” Layton concluded.
The KICKER Hideaway Compact Powered Subwoofer delivers surprising low frequency output from a remarkably small enclosure, setting a new standard in plug-and-play bass performance and convenience in a vehicle. At just over three inches high and nearly 14 inches long, the Hideaway combines a 150-watt amplifier and an 8-inch subwoofer to add thumping bass to any vehicle from the tightest locations. It also provides a quick-connect power plug and Velcro®-fastened nylon straps for secure installation and simple but fast removal.
The quick-connect Molex® plug and harness incorporates power, signal and remote turn-on. The Hideaway comes with a remote bass control for fine-tuning bass levels, adjustable low-pass crossover, variable +6dB bass boost, phase-cancelling switch for max output and two automatic turn-on options. It also features high- and low-level inputs for integration with nearly any factory or aftermarket head unit.
KICKER Senior Vice President Charlie Schultz said, “Our president Steve Irby was intimately involved in the design process with the KICKER Research and Development team, and they nailed it with the Hideaway Powered Subwoofer.”
