The countdown is ON , and the Team Nutz Car Cruise at Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department is happening THIS SATURDAY, September 12, 2026!
If youâve been waiting for a sign to pull the project out, clean it up, and bring it around the local automotive community⊠THIS IS IT!!!
Team Nutz is teaming up with the Castle Shannon VFD for a cruise built around cars, trucks, creativity, community, and giving back. And the best part?
That means your entry helps support the local firefighters who protect our neighborhoods, families, and businesses. So yeah , youâre not just bringing your ride out for a good time. Youâre helping support some real local heroes. Thatâs a win/win, buddy!!!
Before you fire up the engine, hereâs the complete countdown guide , entry info, vendor spots, vehicle prep, scam warnings, and what to expect when you arrive.
Save it. Screenshot it. Send it to your crew chat.
This is a community cruise, so come ready to check out some seriously cool builds, talk shop with other enthusiasts, meet local vendors, and support the fire department while youâre at it.

Letâs make this part VERY clear.
You do not need to:
Vehicle entry payment happens at the gate on Saturday, September 12. Thatâs it!!!
If you see a post or message asking you to pre-pay online for your cruise entry, DONâT CLICK IT , DONâT SEND MONEY , REPORT IT.
Scammers love popular local events, and weâd rather you spend your money helping the Castle Shannon VFD instead of sending it to some sketchy account hiding behind a fake event page. If youâre ever unsure, CALL/TEXT Team Nutz directly using the official contact information at the bottom of this post.
The short answer: ALL MAKES AND MODELS ARE WELCOME!!!
Bring the vehicle youâre proud of , whether itâs finished, halfway finished, or just something you enjoy driving.
Weâre talking:
Boats are not eligible for this particular land-based cruise, but pretty much every kind of road-going custom ride is welcome. You donât need a million-dollar build. You donât need a trophy-winning garage queen.
You just need a vehicle you enjoy , and the right attitude. Bring the project. Bring the daily. Bring the weird one your buddies donât understand. We want to see it!!!

Youâve got three days. Thatâs enough time to make a BIG difference without turning your garage into total chaos.
Start with a careful hand wash. Get the wheels, wheel wells, door jambs, glass, trim, and all the little places that collect road grime.
Donât just blast the outside and call it done. The details are what people notice.
Your wheels are one of the first things people see. Remove brake dust, clean behind the spokes where possible, and finish the tires with a clean, even dressing.
No greasy sling all over the fenders, please. Weâve all seen it , and yeah, it ainât pretty.
Need help getting that finish right? Check out Team Nutz professional auto detailing services, including hand washing, decontamination, paint correction, wheel cleaning, interior detailing, and more.
Open the doors and take a look from the outside. If you can see fast-food wrappers, floor grime, fingerprints, or mystery junk⊠clean it up!
Vacuum the seats and carpets. Wipe down the dash. Clean the glass. If your vehicle has leather, give it some conditioner.
For extra DIY pointers, our show-ready detailing guide has practical tips for getting that showroom shine without overthinking the process.
Before you leave home, test:
If youâve installed a big audio system, make sure your wiring is secure and your settings are dialed in. A clean, professionally integrated setup always gets attention.
Team Nutz handles everything from head units and speakers to amplifiers, subwoofers, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and custom audio builds. Check out our car audio installation services before you crank it up at the cruise.

Bring what you need for a comfortable day:
And please , secure loose items inside your vehicle before driving over. Nobody wants a floor jack sliding around in the back seat on Library Road. Ask me how I know⊠just kidding, kinda.
A car cruise is the perfect place to show off the project youâve been building. If youâre looking for a last-minute appearance upgrade, Team Nutz offers professional customization options for cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and more.
Popular project ideas include:
A full wrap or ceramic coating may need more planning than three days , obviously , but you can still call and ask whatâs realistic for your vehicle and your schedule. A clean, well-planned project is always a better investment than rushing into something that doesnât fit your build.

Are you a local business, detailer, food vendor, apparel company, parts supplier, artist, or automotive brand?
We want you at the cruise!!!
Vendor spots are available for businesses that want to get in front of local vehicle enthusiasts and support a great cause. This is a chance to meet potential customers, show off your products, talk about your services, and become part of the Castle Shannon automotive community.
Vendor categories may include:
Please reach out before the event so we can discuss availability, space, pricing, setup details, and payment arrangements. Vendor spaces are limited and may fill up fast : so donât wait until Friday night and hope thereâs a spot left. That plan usually goes sideways real quick!!!
For vendor questions, you can also CALL/TEXT 412-882-8346 during business hours.

Expect a relaxed, energetic community event with plenty of cool vehicles, conversations, photos, and local support for the Castle Shannon VFD.
Youâll be able to:
Be respectful of the property, follow directions from event staff, keep speeds low, and help us keep the event safe and enjoyable for everybody. No burnouts, no reckless driving, no nonsense. Weâre here to enjoy the rides and support the firefighters : letâs keep it that way.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your favorite ride.
